From 9 to 11 of October 2006, a Development Education Partnership Fair was held in Vienna. 184 representatives of 158 NGOs from 22 European countries came with their project and partnership proposals in order to meet and exchange their experience. The Bulgarian participants were 11, among which one from IRBF.

The Development Education Partnerhip Fair was organised by TRIALOG and CONCORD, with the participation of representatives of the European Commission (EC). The participants had the chance to learn many new things regarding how to write successful projects, specific amendements on the EC funding for NGOs, as well as questions and definitions on what is development eductation and who should get involved in the subject.

"The NGO partnership from different EU countries is the main mission of this Fair, because the tendency in Europe is towarnds cooperation among the NGOs no only on national, but also on international level.", said at the openning Angelo Caserta, Trialog representative.

Apart from the common part, there was a practical part, called "Open Space", where participants would separate into different thematic groups and discuss a concrete project proposal. The suggested groups were more than 20, among which: the millenium goals, arts and culture, social rights, gender equality, development policies, informal education, health, media etc.

Internet Rights Bulgaria Foundation took part in the workgroup called: "Civil society participation - strenghtening the NGO participation in the development process", together with representatives from Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Romania and Slovakia. On the third day of common effords and brainstroming, we got to a concrete project concept, which will continue to be developped even after the Fair, through the newly created mailing-list. The aim will be to be submitted in December, at the next EC Call.
