Internet Rights Bulgaria Foundation (IRBF) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in May 2002 and registered under the Law on Juridical Perdons with Non-commercial Activity in August 2002.

Mission and aims

Internet Rights Bulgaria Foundation (IRBF) aims to promote initiatives in the social and human rights sectors in Bulgaria. We encourage not-for-profit organisations and social movements working in these sectors to use the Internet for publicising their activities and for networking with others who share their aims, both within Bulgaria and abroad. We also work to defend and extend their communication rights. (continue)

Target groups

The target groups of the Internet Rights Bulgaria Foundation (IRBF) are Bulgarian not-for-profit non-governmental organisations working on social issues and similar organisations in other parts of the world that want to collaborate with them. (continue)

IRBF in 2002-2003

On May 1, 2003 Internet Rights Bulgaria celebrated its first anniversary. Last year on that day, the general agreement and the idea were discussed and it was decided to start in Bulgaria an NGO under that name. (continue)

IRBF in 2004

For IRBF, 2004 was a milestone year, in which we have organised a number of events in Bulgaria, as well we took part in others, mainly abroad. A number of projects were started, and also great partnerships were established. (continue)

IRBF in 2005

The 2005 was the third year of IRBF, in which a number of ongoing projects have made considerable progress, and new ones were started. We have gained a considerable visibility by getting to know local organisations active in the social movements, and we established partnerships with them. We trained some of them, and we provided a web-hosting to others. IRBF finally is achieving its mission! (continue)
